Oceanwide Safety at Sea now has the following vacany in its service team:

SERVICE ENGINEER

This position requires as person with experience as a mechanical fitter in a maintenance environment. Being based in Rotterdam, the job itself will be primarily offsite onboard ships both locally and worldwide. Due to the nature of the job, applicants will need to be physically and medically fit and prepared to travel away from home for periods of time. Applicants must have a driving licence, as the job will include use of the company service cars. All necessary training will be taken care for.

 

Job Description

- Servicing lifeboats and davits, both on and off site in marine and offshore related environments

- Identification of additional work or material requirements on the job

- Assistance with workshop related acitivities and on-site product refurbishment

- Responsibility for the maintenance 

- Preparation of service reports and expense claims

- Responsibility for the maintenance of your work area and tools

- Providing technical experience and information

- Availability to work in any location at all times

- Contribute in ensuring a safe working environment

Qualifications

Qualifications associated with job description

Five to ten years work experience in related industry or equivalent

Proficiency in local language and English, spoken and written
